Welcome to Murdoch Gardens Care Community

Murdoch Gardens Care Community is located in a peaceful neighbourhood adjacent to Murdoch University with a retirement village next door. Our Care Community is just 20 minutes south of the Perth CBD and is a spacious and elegant home with flourishing gardens. We have a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and encourage residents to stay connected with the local community.

Care at Murdoch Gardens

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. Our memory care neighbourhood provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. Our state-of-the-art wellness centre enables residents to benefit from a holistic approach to wellbeing, rehabilitation and restorative care in a welcoming environment. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.

Daily living at Murdoch Gardens

Our residents enjoy staying active and participating in community life. Our theatrette is popular for movie afternoons and our theatre nights are an opportunity to take to the stage or sit back and enjoy the entertainment. We’re a pet-friendly Care Community and welcome visits from animals large and small. Our resident gardeners tend to our flower beds and keep our plants looking beautiful.

It’s an environment where you’re free to enjoy your interests, independently or with others, continue to learn and try new things, and participate in Murdoch Gardens life – so you can enjoy your day, your way.

From our initial enquiry through to her discharge five weeks later, every interaction reflected a deep commitment to inclusive care, genuine engagement, and respect for Hazel’s emotional wellbeing and physical health. The staff’s attentiveness and integrity created a sense of safety and dignity that made a meaningful difference in her experience. My stepfather was in Murdoch for respite. I found the staff to be helpful and considerate. The environment is lovely and the quality of food of a high standard. In fact we were able to order from the residents menu so that we could enjoy lunch with my stepfather in the cafe. Overall a positive experience.

We are so happy with the care our beautiful Mother is receiving at Murdoch Gardens. At 97 years of age and after living alone for many years the transition to care was distressing for us all. Maxine and the staff have made Mum very welcome from the beautiful meals to regular exercise classes and a great weekly calendar of activities. We are so grateful.

Another year dawns and like so many others I have a loved and loving Mum in care. I am at peace though now with my decision to place Mum at Murdoch Gardens. After a rocky start, I can now say a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Murdoch Gardens! This past year has seen Murdoch Gardens develop under the watchful eye of Amanda and I have seen many advancements in the standard of care and the attention to detail. Not only has Amanda ensured that the Team is supported in ensuring that the respect and dignity of the clients is recognised, she has elevated the level of clinical standards while promoting an environment that is the right mix of joy, laughter, compassion and companionship. All the best for 2025 to a truly professional, dedicated and caring team!

Just had an amazing Christmas buffet 🎄lunch shared Gascoyne staff & residents. All The staff in attendance were absolutely fabulous , attentive to both carers and their loved one’s 🥰 Nothing was too much trouble . The food was 5 star ⭐️ and the entertainment brilliant , the young lady had a sensational voice sang lots of golden oldies . Everyone throughly enjoyed themselves , sing and dancing and waving the arms from the wheelchairs. A superb job Murdoch staff a real treat and pleasure to attend 🎅🏻⭐️ The Christmas present of a framed photo of my father in law with Santa was kind , thoughtful and precious 🙏

Mum and Dad moved into Murdoch Gardens in September and feel right at home. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely Christmas party with them, the food prepared by the Chef was top quality and we enjoyed mixing with other residents and family members. The staff all worked together to include everyone and were a part of fun themselves. There is a great atmosphere at Murdoch Gardens!
